Dear Friends of Birthright,

After almost 43 years Milwaukee Birthright is still here serving women in crisis pregnancy situations. It is more and more difficult, as finances shrink and abortion is touted as the "way out" of a crisis. So many young people are fooled by today's political influences and the money the abortion industry is able to solicit. And, it is an industry! Millions and millions of dollars are given to the abortion providers to end the lives of the tiny unborn. And, now the mothers are told they can end their baby's life at birth… or if they don’t like the child's sex.

How do we help them? On call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, we listen to the pleas of young women who find themselves in an unplanned pregnancy.  We offer friendship and listening… to learn what they need to stay healthy and keep their babies safe and healthy, too. We have resources to call to help the women both now and in their futures. When calls are made we can lead the woman to a brighter future for her child and herself.

Birthright cannot continue without your help. Here are few of our dire needs:

We need dollars to upgrade our technology:  Our computer system is seriously out-of-date, our Web site needs an upgrade. The Internet is the avenue most young people go to for information these days.

We need Volunteers:  Age and personal problems have taken away our volunteer base. We must replace them to fulfill our mission of 24/7 help. Spanish speakers encouraged.  Do you have technology skills to support today's needs? We need to hear from you.   Can you give a few hours on the phone once week or twice a month? Give us a call and we'll show you how easy and satisfying it is to get involved. Help us to help the young mothers save their babies!

We need monetary donations:  Underwriting the Newsletter and our Bus Ads along with the necessary Website upgrades would be so welcomed.

Save the date: our Annual Meeting will be held at the Polish Center of Wisconsin, Sunday, November 4. A 9:00 Mass, celebrated by Fr. Terry Brennan of Marquette University High School, will be followed by a tasty complete brunch.  Tables of 8 welcomed. Invitations in the mail soon.

Most sincerely,

Veronica Ceszynski
