    2017 Summer Greetings
“I wonder what it would be like to live in a world where it was always June.” L. M. Montgomery (1874-1942)
School is out. The days are long and sunny. Our gardens look their finest with roses and peonies in bloom. Our hearts open to the simple pleasures of life…..Ice cream cones, lemonade, backyard barbecues, and family picnics. For too many families, though, some of the key family members are sadly missing from view. Babies not allowed their birth right. A brother, sister, or cousin eliminated prior to birth. At Milwaukee Birthright, we are working to change that scenario. We believe everyone belongs.
No woman should have to choose abortion because she is unaware of the help and resources that are available during and after an unplanned pregnancy. We are here to offer Help and Hope. We now provide baby clothing from newborn to size 4T, and allow return visits every 3 months for larger sized clothes. We supply referral information for MDs, insurance, parenting classes, etc. whatever is needed. We have resource information for housing, jobs, continuing education, legal assistance, and adoption.
We now provide new fathers with a “Daddy Pack” of information to facilitate more involvement in their children’s lives. Speaking of fathers, HAPPY FATHER’S DAY to all our New Dads, Dads to Be, Young Dads, Old Dads, Grandads, Step Dads, Dads in Law, and those filling in as role model Dads.
Milwaukee Birthright is blessed with the addition of another dedicated volunteer, Bonnie. Additional volunteers are always welcome. Please consider joining our Birthright volunteer team and share the joy of helping others. Volunteer as little as four hours per month, in our office or taking calls on our helpline. Training is provided. Contact Judy at (414) 672-5433 or visit our web page at www.milwaukeebirthright.com for a volunteer application.
Milwaukee Birthright sends our gratitude to Ascension Health, the Felician Services, Milwaukee Archdiocesan Council of Catholic Women (MACCW) and Christ Child Society. A special thank you to the following congregations: St. Alphonsus, Catholic Daughters of Lake Geneva, St. Charles Borromeo, Diocese of La Crosse, St. Eugene, Holy Apostles, St. James, St. John Vianney, St. Matthias, Our Lady of Good Hope, Sisters of Divine Savior, Three Holy Women, St. Veronica, and Knights of Columbus (councils 524, 3702, & 13583), and the Milwaukee Chapter of WRTL. Thank you to all our donors who share their love, prayers, and finances with our Birthright moms, dads and babies.
We presently have no “Save the Date” information. Birthright plans to hold a Fundraiser Breakfast in 2018. The date, time, and place have yet to be determined. We will keep you posted. Please consider a legacy gift to Milwaukee Birthright through your estate planning to ensure that our mission continues to grow.

    Blessings to All,
Judy Fecteau, Birthright Volunteers, Birthright Board of Directors
