2020 Autumn Greetings
“Every leaf speaks bliss to me/Fluttering from the autumn tree” Emily Bronte (1818-1848)
With the change of seasons, we are reminded that our lives are in the hands of God. We cannot change His timetable, His plans, or His purposes. Proverbs 3:5 instructs us to “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not rely on your own insight.”
2020 has been an especially challenging year, but Milwaukee Birthright is committed to helping the families, mothers, babies, and toddlers in the Milwaukee area. Although our office has been closed since 3/16/20; our telephone helpline continues to operate and we provide resource information for housing, jobs, food pantries, and whatever else is needed. No woman should have to choose abortion because she is unaware of the help and resources that are available during and after an unplanned pregnancy.
One month before the baby is due or shortly after giving birth, Birthright provides this mom with blankets, bath supplies, diapers, and a complete baby’s first wardrobe. We encourage return requests for larger sized clothing; every three months for 0-2 T sizes and every six months for 3T – 4T sizes. Our services and supplies are always provided free of charge due to our generous donors.
During the pandemic, we are providing doorstep deliveries to keep our clients and our volunteers safe. Speaking of volunteers, Birthright has two new volunteers. Lisa is a phoneline volunteer, and Barb helps with deliveries. Our organization is truly blessed to have a great team of dedicated volunteers. From March 16 through September 27, Birthright provided items for 520 children, 92 of them newborn babies.
We plan to open our office when it becomes safe. Another plan we needed to change this year, is the annual dinner and raffle. We are hoping to hold a 2021 dinner to celebrate our 50th anniversary. Milwaukee Birthright opened during April of 1971. Many thanks to our donors and volunteers. Birthright would not function without you.
Please consider a donation to Milwaukee Birthright with a one-time gift, monthly/ yearly giving support, or through your estate plans. We want to continue with our mission in support of life. Milwaukee Birthright, Inc. is a 501c3 charitable organization. Your gift is tax deductible.
Blessings to all,

Judy Fecteau, Executive Director
